MHS Cheer and Football enjoyed going to MES for an AR Celebration today! We taught chants, talked about being a leader in the classroom, what it means to be a Billie, taught the football warmup chant, and got lots of hugs and high fives. Thank you MES for inviting us!

Design Meets Fabrication: Check out this Custom Tool!
We love seeing our Advanced Manufacturing students move from concept to creation! A student from Monticello Occupational Education Center has taken their own design for an automotive soft blow hammer head and is bringing it to life on the lathe.
Using a precise four-jaw chuck setup, this project highlights how our students learn to solve real-world problems and fabricate professional-grade tools.
Great job to the student and instructor, Billy Gilliam!

⚙️ Precision in Progress at the OEC! ⚙️
Look at this attention to detail! A student is diligently working on the vertical milling machine, using a fly cutter to square a 2D block precisely. This piece is a critical component for their custom-made meat tenderizer project.
Huge thanks to Mr. Billy Gilliam for providing expert oversight and guidance! This is what hands-on learning looks like.

Talk about hands-on learning! 🤩
An OEC student just wrapped up a fantastic project, bringing a custom-designed specialty wrench to life on our vertical milling machine.
The design process was a joint effort with Mr. Gilliam, proving that good collaboration is key to great fabrication. No off-the-shelf tools here—this is pure skill!
Way to go, OEC students!
