Farm Bureau awarded a $250 grant to the MIS Learning Garden today. The garden is currently being maintained by the district’s GT students, but is open to all to enjoy.

We have just started this year’s growing season by planting spinach, broccoli, lettuce, carrots, and radishes directly into the box beds. We have started zinnias and sunflowers in our classroom in mini-hothouses

Miss Geels’ FACS classes had a fun day in class learning about the consequences of driving while impaired. State Police Officer Mitchell Butler and Student Resource Officer Shane Hale came as a guest speakers, offering real-world stories and the chance for students to ask questions. Students also had the opportunity to experience tests that might happen at a police check point. Thank you Officer Butler and SRO Shane Hale!

Hi MES families!

We are so excited to see our little learners heading into a well-deserved week of rest and play! To help us celebrate our very last day before the vacation, we’re having a "Hats Off to Spring Break" Day this Friday.

Whether it’s their luckiest baseball cap, a cozy beanie, or a super silly sun hat, we’d love to see your students’ favorite headwear in the hallways! It’s a fun way for us to "tip our hats" to all the hard work they’ve done this term.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! We’d love to see everyone decked out in their favorite green shirts, socks, or accessories.

Let's see how much green we can get in the hallways tomorrow!

To finish the season with a Boys State Runner-Up Team and a Girls 3rd Place State Team says everything about the kind of competitors these kids are.

Our Monticello Boys Team finished STATE RUNNER-UP, scoring 55 points and finishing 2nd (by only 2 Points) in the entire state behind a strong Bentonville West Team. To watch these guys step on the platform and fight for every pound on the bar was incredible.
We had three STATE CHAMPIONS:
🏆 Jalen Hall – State Champion (123)
🏆 Kaisen Jones – State Champion (308)
🏆 Cameron McCullough – State Champion (SHW)
Our Monticello Girls Team also fought their way to a 3rd place finish in the STATE with 22 team points, and I could not be more proud of the way these young ladies competed.
Leading the way:
🏆 Halle Ross – STATE CHAMPION (148)
This group supports each other.
When one lifter steps on the platform, the entire team is behind them yelling, pushing, and believing in them. That’s what makes this program special. These kids compete for each other, for their school, and for the name on the front of their shirt.

Our team brought their A-game to the SeArk Co-op tournament yesterday and walked away with 2nd Place! 🏆

Competing against five other schools, our students showed off some incredible brainpower, teamwork, and quick reflexes. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented us!
