What a fantastic day in 2nd grade yesterday! Mrs. Newton's class combined their phonics lesson with a fun game of London Bridge. The kids had a blast learning new sounds and got a special surprise when the class pet, Max the hedgehog, came out to play. He loved watching them and even got a few gentle pats! It was a great way to make learning memorable.

Ms. Bennie Vincent, after what many might consider a well-earned retirement, returned—not for accolades or titles, but to stand in the gap where students needed her most. In doing so, she didn’t just sustain a program—she revived it, and in true Trailblazer fashion, she did so with humility, strength, and a quiet confidence that continues to ripple through the lives of students and colleagues alike.
Ms. Vincent is a 37-year educator who has dedicated her life to the children who have passed through her classroom doors. Through her tireless efforts, she has built musical foundations that will last her students a lifetime.
