The third Drew County Scripps Spelling Bee was held at Monticello Middle School on February 3, 2026. Dr. Kay Walter (UAM) served as pronouncer.
Eighteen participants in grades 3-8 from Drew Central, Monticello, and one homeschooled student competed through 18 rounds to produce the top three spellers. JT Todd took third, Sophia Cook placed second, and Ralph Cuadras is the champion. Ralph will compete at the state level in March.

The Davenport Police Department in Oregon gave the Computer Science students in Mr Weekley's class the opportunity to solve a cold case murder and abduction of twin relatives. Using computational thinking and reasoning, the students were able to solve this mystery. *This is a fictional case*
