Hi MES families!
We are so excited to see our little learners heading into a well-deserved week of rest and play! To help us celebrate our very last day before the vacation, we’re having a "Hats Off to Spring Break" Day this Friday.
Whether it’s their luckiest baseball cap, a cozy beanie, or a super silly sun hat, we’d love to see your students’ favorite headwear in the hallways! It’s a fun way for us to "tip our hats" to all the hard work they’ve done this term.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! We’d love to see everyone decked out in their favorite green shirts, socks, or accessories.
Let's see how much green we can get in the hallways tomorrow!

To finish the season with a Boys State Runner-Up Team and a Girls 3rd Place State Team says everything about the kind of competitors these kids are.
Our Monticello Boys Team finished STATE RUNNER-UP, scoring 55 points and finishing 2nd (by only 2 Points) in the entire state behind a strong Bentonville West Team. To watch these guys step on the platform and fight for every pound on the bar was incredible.
We had three STATE CHAMPIONS:
🏆 Jalen Hall – State Champion (123)
🏆 Kaisen Jones – State Champion (308)
🏆 Cameron McCullough – State Champion (SHW)
Our Monticello Girls Team also fought their way to a 3rd place finish in the STATE with 22 team points, and I could not be more proud of the way these young ladies competed.
Leading the way:
🏆 Halle Ross – STATE CHAMPION (148)
This group supports each other.
When one lifter steps on the platform, the entire team is behind them yelling, pushing, and believing in them. That’s what makes this program special. These kids compete for each other, for their school, and for the name on the front of their shirt.

Hats off to our Community Helpers at MES this week, teaching our Little Billies about important jobs in our community!

Just a friendly heads-up for all the planners, snack-preppers, and countdown-enthusiasts out there:
⭐Spring Break is officially happening from March 23rd to March 27th.

Our team brought their A-game to the SeArk Co-op tournament yesterday and walked away with 2nd Place! 🏆
Competing against five other schools, our students showed off some incredible brainpower, teamwork, and quick reflexes. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented us!

Are you ready to make a difference in our community? The Monticello School District is looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join our team!
From the classroom to the field, being a Billie means being part of a supportive family that puts students first. We aren’t just hiring employees; we’re looking for people who want to help shape the future of Monticello.

We look forward to the insight and leadership LeAnne will provide as we work together to make Monticello Schools the best they can be. Go Billies!

Huge congratulations to 8th-grade GT student Ralph Cuadras! This past Saturday, March 7, Ralph represented us at the State Spelling Bee, competing against 54 of the top spellers from across the county. We are incredibly proud to announce that Ralph placed 6th overall in the state! Way to go, Ralph!

Child Find: Because Every Child Matters ❗
Child Find is part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and it guides an important responsibility we take to heart: locating, identifying, and evaluating children who may need early intervention or special education services.
But for us, Child Find is more than a requirement, it’s personal. We truly believe in meeting children where they are. We care deeply about the students who may need a little more time, a slower pace, or learning presented in a completely different way. Every child learns differently, and every child deserves the support they need to thrive.
If you believe your child could benefit from special education services, we encourage you to reach out to Heather Cox, LEA Monticello School District at heather.cox@billies.org or 870-367-4000.
Our team would be honored to walk alongside your family and serve your child with care, understanding, and heart.
