Monticello High School’s football team hosted a free youth football camp for students in grades K–6 immediately following their annual Blue and White Game. The event was designed to introduce young athletes to the exciting world of football in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Coaches and high school players worked together to guide participants through age-appropriate drills that focused on basic fundamentals such as passing, catching, footwork, and teamwork, ensuring that each child gained a solid understanding of the game.
The camp also served as an opportunity to inspire the next generation of Monticello football players, giving them hands-on experience and a chance to learn directly from the team. Beyond the skills training, the event emphasized sportsmanship, discipline, and the joy of playing football. By starting with the fundamentals, the program laid the groundwork for future success on the field while building a connection between the community, young athletes, and the high school program.
