Fifty-six Monticello teachers are proud MHS graduates, a testament to the quality of education and exceptional experience they had at MSD. Returning home, these teachers are committed to carrying on Monticello’s tradition of outstanding educators, driven by their passion for ensuring all students receive the outstanding they deserve.
According to extensive research, teachers are considered the most important factor in student success, meaning that the quality of a student's teacher has a greater impact on their academic achievement than any other school-related factor, including facilities, curriculum, or class size. Monticello has 131 certified classroom teachers, 56% of whom hold a master's degree, 1% hold a doctorate, 97% are fully certified, and 3% are enrolled in ADE-approved alternative certification pathways.
