Welding is a vocational course designed to develop skill in various methods of welding. The student is taught the use of the electric arc, oxy-acetylene, MIG, TIG, and plasma welding processes. He or she, also, receives classroom instruction in blue print reading, welding metallurgy, welding theory, and types of welding machines. Skillful students who complete the course are prepared to take the American Welding Society Code Test which is required of all applicants for some welding positions.  Advanced students receive instruction in plasma cutting and welding procedures.
