Drafting and Design
Drafting and Design I covers the basic aspects of drafting, included in the course but not limited to, is: Introduction to Drafting as a Graphic Communication, Care and Use of Drafting Equipment, Proper Drafting procedures, Introduction to CAD, and Exploring the Different Drafting Areas such as mechanical, architectural, structuring and marine drafting. Drafting & Design II will allow students to work in the following areas as they relate to Commercial and Industrial Construction; Commercial & Industrial Design, Commercial & Industrial Buildings, working drawings, structural technology, wood construction, steel construction, concrete construction, strength of material technology, and specification writing.
