
Automotive Technology is a vocational course structured to allow students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose, repair, and service automobile units. Students are given instruction on the following areas: electrical systems specialist, brake specialist, engine repair specialist and suspension & steering specialist. Students are taught to use hand tools, electronic analyzers and tester, engine rebuilding equipment and other related tools and equipment. Actual job conditions are simulated which provide experience in both technical and relation aspects of the mechanic’s training in such areas as shop mathematics, stock control, shop management and customer relations.
